Bridging the gap between subject matter experts and your technical staff can be challenging and often time-consuming - time which you don't have. Typically, for a consultant or administration staff to publish a questionnaire to the Web, there needs to be knowledge transfer to a technical resource, development and testing time and finally deployment. By putting the right tools in the hands of your experts, you can get faster results.

IGen is a dynamic, logic-based tool used to gather and process information online. Used for surveys, polls, assessments, or just to collect data, IGen provides a flexible and easy way to interview, analyse and format output.

Enabling the Experts
Non-technical administrators and subject matter experts (SMEs) are enabled by IGen to create powerful online applications to efficiently collect and analyse information. By generating a series of personalized, conditional questions, the end-user is guided through a specific path based on their responses. Formatted output can be generated for the end-user, for the administrator or for both.

Dynamic
Types of questions which can be asked include: plain text, multi-select, multi-choice and Boolean. Incorporated data validation can impose mandatory responses and enforce data formatting like numeric, postal/ZIP code, date, currency, etc. An integrated rich text editor permits text formatting.

A question can be constrained by conditional dependencies by using instance variables (previously answered questions) and all common logical operators. Actions allow for mathematical calculations and logic-based conditions. Preset rules and a strongly-guarded decision tree ensure integrity across all complex and interrelated dependencies. Because of this, the administrator is protected from creating conditional conflicts or orphaned branches - and when an end-user alters any previous responses, they are re-assessed accordingly.

The well-organized generation facility allows the administrator to create templates for frequently used allowable responses. Cloning can occur at multiple levels including questions, question groups or an entire questionnaire. For recurring data entry, conditional repeating questions and repeating question groups can be added.

Secure Deployment
The final questionnaire is then deployed to a multilingual online container were the end-users are able to access it. The administrator is able to tweak several attributes to easily change the container to reflect a specific "look and feel". Final output, summaries and other reporting can be produced in print-friendly HTML format or integrated with Microsoft® Excel.

User authentication ensures role-based and data-level security. End-user instances are secured through authentication or in the case of an anonymous end-user, individual instances can be tracked with cookies.
